Rodents

The need:

The use of rodents, headed by the three most common species: the Norwegian rat (Rattus norvegicus), the roof rat (Rattus rattus) and the common mouse (Mus musculus) are small mammals that harm humans in three ways: health, economy and image. The damage is caused in a range of ways, from carrying diseases, destroying expensive equipment (gas, water, electricity, communication lines, raw materials, food products, etc.) to causing damage to agricultural produce. The obvious, immediate risk caused by rodents being present manifests in their ability to transmit to people and other animals various parasites, from worms to severe diseases such as black death and typhus. Also, rodents cause reputational damage and consumer public revulsion if they see them at premises. Treatment against rodents is complex, because they are highly adaptable animals and have unique attributes allowing them to survive under hard conditions for long times while learning the various dangers. Thus they often learn to avoid traps, feeding boxes and eating baits.

Our solutions:

Deploying a monitoring and control apparatus at the site while implementing the HACCP principles in layered circles – using outer protective circles, the outermost being in the form of a range of prevention and extermination measures and another outer circle supplementing it along the exterior walls, near the entrances and adjacent to buildings. Poisonous feeding boxes are used in outdoor areas, while the production and storage environments and other sensitive places are treated with a range of means including traps and unique monitors, without using poisons and sometimes without allergens in food and drug production environments. The means are placed in locked, safe and marked control boxes, and near each one there is a special barcode through which the operating exterminator enters all data and comments relevant to that point directly into the computer system. All means appear in the monitoring map at the site and in the monitoring apparatus table and are clearly marked by a special guide by type and location. The service specification, work plan and frequency of inspections and treatments will be determined with the customer, considering the site type, activity field, customer needs, site surroundings and maintenance level.
