The Pest:
Poisonous snakes are not a common sight in Israel, yet running into one is definitely an unpleasant experience and sometimes a dangerous one. Snakes tend to be found on high vegetation, underneath rocks, near running water sources, in garbage piles etc. At times they may be found in buildings. Since most people are not able to recognize the species of the snake or know of ways to trap it, we recommended not taking any risks and calling a professional snake trapper who will scan the area to verify that no other snakes are around. The trapper will capture the snake, if necessary, and remove it.
* Snakes are protected animals and it is illegal to kill them; once captured, the snake is taken by the trapper to a supervisor of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority for instructions regarding further treatment / release into open territory.
Our Solutions:
the Sanitation Services Company hires certified snake trappers and provides snake trapping service all across the country. In case a snake is found in a building or near one, the trappers will scan the area, locate and capture it. The snake, as noted, is a protected animal, therefore, after being captured it will be released in nature, far away from the location where it was found at.
